Computer-Aided Design Parametric Modeler

Certificate

Pima’s Computer-Aided Design Technician Certificate will prepare you for drafting positions in a variety of manufacturing and construction settings, depending on the pathway you choose.

By completing your computer-aided design training at Pima you’ll have mastered drafting skills in multiple software and applications. Depending on your certificate pathway, you could find employment in companies specializing in design for manufacturing, building construction, or land development.

Careers

Completing this program can lead to employment in a variety of different careers:

  • Parametric modeler for manufacturing includes drafting and computer modeling for the defense industry, product design, mining, automotive, and electronics. Industry certification may include Certified SolidWorks Professional (CSWP).
  • Parametric modeler for building construction includes drafting and computer modeling for architectural, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, mining, interior design.
  • Parametric modeler for land development includes drafting and computer modeling for survey, civil, transportation, utility, and landscape design.
