Connect U Orientation

Have a Successful First Year with Connect U Orientation

Welcome to Pima Community College! Now that you have completed your admissions application, you are ready for your next step: Connect U Orientation.

At Connect U Orientation, you will learn how to navigate Pima’s technology, programs, resources and campuses. This is a non-credit event which will not impact your GPA and is free of charge.

Not only does orientation set you up for success (and earn you a free Pima shirt!), but it also lifts your CUO hold so you can later register for classes. You are required to complete Connect U Orientation as a first-year student.

Connect U Orientation Sessions

You may complete Connect U Orientation one of two ways:

  • Attend a live Connect U Orientation Session
  • Complete our online, self-paced version of Connect U Orientation in D2L

Get connected by attending a live Connect U Orientation session! This interactive event will have you work closely with peer mentors who are ready to share tips they learned from their own first year experience at Pima.

Meet other students, make new friends, enjoy fun activities, and earn some extra Pima treats!

Live sessions will be hosted on-campus or virtually via zoom. Please be aware that seats are limited for campus sessions. You will be sent a confirmation email within 24 hours/1 business day of signing-up for a session, and that message will include event details with room info (if that event is on-campus) or link to login (if that event is virtual).

Students need to enroll in a live CUO session at least 24 hours prior to the event before the roster is closed. If they enroll within the 24 hour window prior to a live CUO session, they will not be sent a confirmation email with the details to join (zoom link to login or room details on campus.) Due to limited space at live CUO sessions, walk-in students will not likely be admitted due to full capacity.

If you choose to complete Connect U Orientation by attending a live session, you must be present for the entire 4.5 hour event in order to get your hold lifted so you may register for classes.

Can't make it to one of our live sessions? Don’t worry! You can still get connected with our online, self-paced Connect U Orientation on D2L.

Follow this direct link to the Online CUO Course in D2L.

Or, read these steps to login:

In case there is a glitch in the system, we recommend you also take a screenshot of your final page to document your completion.
