Make a lasting impact in a high-demand, high-reward career. Whether you’re just beginning your journey or already have a bachelor’s degree, Pima’s K-12 Teacher Education programs prepare you to step confidently into the classroom.

If you already have a bachelor’s degree — in any subject — you may qualify for our Post-Degree Teacher Education program. Choose from elementary, secondary or special education certification track, and start teaching right away through our Intern Pathway while earning a full salary. You may even be eligible for a scholarship that waives tuition in exchange for teaching in Arizona public schools.

Already certified and looking to grow your skill set? We offer a range of endorsements and add-on certificates to help you move forward in your teaching career — all through flexible online courses designed for busy professionals.

This two-year program prepares you to become a certified elementary (grades K-8) teacher in Arizona. You’ll get supervised field experience. If you take the Intern Pathway, you can teach in your own classroom with a full salary right away.

Arizona law now requires all K-5 teachers who provide reading instruction to earn the K-5 Literacy Endorsement. Pima’s approved, fully online courses help you meet this new requirement with flexible 8-week formats you can fit into your schedule.

Already certified to teach in Arizona? Add a Special Education Mild-Moderate Disabilities (K-12) Endorsement to your credentials through this fully online program. Designed for certified teachers across a range of grade levels and specialties, this endorsement prepares you to support students with diverse learning needs.

Teach English Learners in Arizona

If you are already a certified teacher, you can complete either Pima’s EDC287 or EDC288 course to qualify for the Arizona Department of Education’s SEI (Structured English Immersion) Endorsement to teach English as a second language.
