Admission

Pharmacy Technology Certificate

Before being admitted to the program, students must meet with the program director by contacting Dawn Majalca at ddcoslett@pima.edu or calling (520) 206-3183

Eligibility for program entry

Applicants are encouraged to complete assessments in reading, writing, and math prior to entering the program.

Applying for Program Admission

  1. Watch the Pharmacy Technology information session 
  2. Apply to Pima
  3. Submit the Program Application via email to the Program admissions email to pcc-phtadmissions@pima.edu 

Applications are accepted between July 1st and October 1st for the Spring semester.

Applications are accepted between March 1st and June 1st for Fall semester.

Program entry is first come first serve during application window.

Eligibility for Licensure and Clinical Practice

Arizona State Board of Pharmacy requires you are 18 years of age or older, have an Arizona level 1 fingerprint clearance card, show proof of high school diploma or equivalent and maintain health insurance.

Pharmacy Technology Certification Board (PTCB) candidates must complete a PTCB-Recognized Education/Training Program in order to be eligible.

Prospective students with a criminal background should contact the Arizona State Board of Pharmacy to learn if they are eligible to obtain licensure before enrolling in the program. They also may not be permitted in a clinical practice setting, depending on the rules and regulations of each particular site.
