Pima’s Respiratory Care program teaches you the skills you need to become a respiratory therapist. You’ll learn in a dedicated space inside our modern Health Professions Center of Excellence. In your second year, you’ll get real-world experience by completing 700 clinical hours at local hospitals.

After finishing the program, you’ll be ready to take National Board for Respiratory Care exams to become a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) and work in the fast-moving world of respiratory care, helping people breathe easier in places like:

  • Hospitals
  • Urgent care clinics
  • Physicians offices
  • Sleep labs & more

At Pima, our programs are designed to help you build your skills as you go. Start with foundational certificates and advance to higher-level certificates and a two-year degree, all while gaining the hands-on experience needed for in-demand careers.

By completing Pima’s Respiratory Care Associate of Applied Science you can secure yourself a well-paying, in-demand career as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT). Your two years of training includes 700 clinical hours in local hospitals, focusing on treating such conditions as asthma, COPD and infant lung issues.

Your Respiratory Care training will be centered at our new Health Professions Center of Excellence, which has a dedicated 2,000-square-foot pulmonary lab.
