How Can We Help?
Pima’s Respiratory Care program teaches you the skills you need to become a respiratory therapist. You’ll learn in a dedicated space inside our modern Health Professions Center of Excellence. In your second year, you’ll get real-world experience by completing 700 clinical hours at local hospitals.
After finishing the program, you’ll be ready to take National Board for Respiratory Care exams to become a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) and work in the fast-moving world of respiratory care, helping people breathe easier in places like:
- Hospitals
- Urgent care clinics
- Physicians offices
- Sleep labs & more
Degrees & Certificates
At Pima, our programs are designed to help you build your skills as you go. Start with foundational certificates and advance to higher-level certificates and a two-year degree, all while gaining the hands-on experience needed for in-demand careers.
High Demand for Respiratory Therapists
With an aging population and rising cases of COPD, asthma, and pneumonia, the need for respiratory therapists is growing. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, jobs in the field are expected to grow 13% through 2032.
