You’ll learn how to safely use welding tools and techniques for arc, oxyacetylene, and wire-feed welding. You’ll cut and weld different types of metal, follow blueprints, and understand what it takes to complete real-world welding projects. Along the way, you'll pick up essential skills like reading welding symbols, planning materials and labor, and working with common equipment used in the field. Whether you're starting a new career or upgrading your skills, this certificate sets you up for success.
What You Will Learn
Upon completion of the program, you will be able to:
- Work safely and responsibly, protecting yourself, others and the environment.
- Use the right welding techniques to complete projects with different types of metal in a variety of real-world settings.
- Understand instructions — both written and verbal — and read blueprints to build and complete welding projects using the right tools.
