College Updates

Faculty Listening and Learning Sessions with Chancellor Nasse
As Pima’s new Chancellor, Jeffrey P. Nasse, Ph. D., settles into his role, he is engaging in a structured process of “listening and learning” during his first 100 days. He is reaching out to Pima students, faculty, staff, Governing Board members and community partners to hear their perspectives on the College.

These in-person events have been scheduled for faculty and adjuncts.

  • 2:30-3:30 p.m., Oct. 8: Adjunct faculty only, C105, District Office
  • 3:30-4:30 p.m., Oct. 14: East Campus faculty, L101, East Campus
  • 3:30-4:30 p.m., Oct. 15: Desert Vista Campus faculty, F123, Desert Vista Campus.

These sessions will not be recorded or live streamed.

Learning Communities: Collaborative Teaching Opportunities for Spring and Fall 2025
The College encourages faculty members to explore teaching in a Learning Community, by joining a virtual information session at either 4 p.m., Oct. 9 or noon, Oct. 11 and/or by submitting LC Interest Form by Oct. 18. In a Learning Community a cohort of students is enrolled in two co-requisite courses in different disciplines. The faculty collaborate to develop complementary, innovative content. This partnership promotes rich pedagogies and encourages students to make substantive connections between the curricula. More details are here. If you have questions, contact Dana Drake Rosenstein, drosenstein@pima.edu.
