College Updates

Title IX Update
The College is committed to fostering a culture of mutual respect and caring. In accordance with federal and state laws, it incorporates specific requirements into its policies and employee and student codes of conduct. These regulations include anti-discrimination laws, such as Section 504, Title VI, Title VII and Title IX, which prohibit discrimination, including sex discrimination in education.

AP 2.03.01 outlines the College’s policies for preventing discrimination, harassment and retaliation, as well as reporting and responding to complaints. The College’s prohibition on discrimination extends beyond what is specifically required to reflect its values and expectations.

Following the release of revised federal Title IX regulations in 2024, an Interim AP 2.03.01 became effective on Aug. 1, 2024. However, a U.S. District Court later vacated these regulations, prompting the Department of Education to issue further guidance. In response, the Interim AP was withdrawn and the previous version of AP 2.03.01, with its definitions and processes, remains in effect.

The College also adopted Interim AP 3.46.07, which addresses Pregnancy and Related Conditions. While no longer mandated by regulation, this policy upholds principles essential to the College community and will continue through the review process without reference to specific regulations.

For more information or to file a complaint, contact a Deputy Title IX Coordinator or the Office of Dispute Resources.
