College Updates
Help Us Amplify Student Voices
Pima’s marketing is evolving — we’re putting real students front and center to showcase their unique Pima journeys and let their voices shine. Know a student or alum who’d be a great fit? Encourage them to fill out this short form! They can share as much about themselves as they’d like and let us know which marketing projects interest them. With your help, we can feature more students and highlight the wide range of academic paths, interests and goals that make our Pima community so diverse. If you have questions, contact marketing@pima.edu.
Market on the Move Event Today
Get fresh produce at affordable prices! The public, along with Pima staff and students, can pay $10 for a box of fresh produce during Market on the Move by using the drive-thru west of the Advanced Manufacturing Building at Downtown Campus. Market on the Move runs monthly, except in January.
- What: Market on the Move (MOM)
- When: 9-11 a.m., Nov. 13
- Where: Downtown Campus
- Details: Find more information or volunteer for a Pima MOM here.
If Pima students and employees prefer a smaller, more student-focused box, they can pay $5 at the walk-up station near the ST Building. The $5 boxes are not available to the public.
Due to the MOM warehouse fire in October, Pima is donating its portion of the event proceeds to support MOM during this difficult time.
- Location information and volunteer opportunities are listed here.
- See the full MOM schedule here.
- For info on other community resources, please click here.
You also may contact Kristy Snowden, ksnowden1@pima.edu, if you have any questions.
ARC Seeks Donations for Winter Wonder Bags
The ARC Resource Center and Food Pantry, which each month hands out 500 food bags to PCC students, is seeking donations to provide 200 Winter Wonder Bags to Pima students experiencing financial, housing and/or food insecurity.
The Winter Wonder Bags are to help students over Pima’s Winter Break, when ARC is closed. Each bag will include a $15 turkey/ham/veggie platter voucher, as well as mashed potatoes, stuffing, gravy, canned fruit, biscuit mix and canned vegetables. Additional items also will be available for students to “shop” for their holiday meal.
Here are the ways Pima employees can support this ARC campaign:
- Donate food items at the ARC locations at Desert Vista or West campuses, or at the West Campus Faculty Resource Center by Dec. 1.
- Make a one-time, tax-deductible donation to ARC via Pima Foundation’s website (Comment: “Winter Wonder Bag”) by Dec. 5.
