Pinning Ceremony to Celebrate Medical Assistant IBEST Students

PCC Invites You to Celebrate Medical Assistant IBEST Students at Award Ceremony

Pima Community College will honor 20 students who are completing the Medical Assistant (MA) Integrated Basic Education and Skills Training (IBEST) certificate program on Friday, August 11, 2023.

PCC cordially invites you to attend the celebration of achievements and pinning ceremony.

In the MA IBEST program, an Adult Basic Education instructor co-plans and co-teaches with MA instructors, integrating basic skills and medical assisting content into the classroom to allow students to improve their skills and attain their goals faster. The IBEST model also allows students without a high school equivalency (HSE) diploma the opportunity to pursue their GED® test and the Medical Assistant certificate simultaneously. IBEST, or Integrated Basic Education and Skills Training, is a nationally recognized instructional model that blends basic skills instruction with career and technical course content.

PCC’s MA IBEST program is a collaborative effort between the Medical Assistant Program and the Adult Basic Education for College and Career (ABECC) Division. This partnership provides students with essential instructional support and career readiness needed to help students persist and launch a career in healthcare.
