New Community Health Worker Training Program Begins Aug. 23

Pima Community College is proud to collaborate with El Rio Community Health Center in launching a
new Community Health Worker Training program starting Aug. 23.
Community Health Workers support individuals with chronic health conditions by offering education,
navigation and social assistance. They collaborate with local health care and social service agencies,
provide translation and interpretation services, deliver culturally-relevant health information, and
promote healthy behaviors while advocating for health needs.
To learn more about the program and scholarship opportunities, join one of our upcoming information
sessions:
- Aug. 16: 12-12:30 p.m. and 5:30-6 p.m.
- Aug. 17: 12-12:30 p.m. and 5:30-6 p.m.
- Aug. 21: 12-12:30 p.m. and 5:30-6 p.m.
