Pima to honor 23 students completing Practical Nurse Program
Pima Community College’s Division of Health Professions-Nursing Program will hold a Practical Nurse Pinning Ceremony June 26 at the West Campus Center for the Arts Proscenium Theatre.
The ceremony, honoring 23 students, will be at 4 p.m. in the Proscenium Theatre, West Campus Center for the Arts, 2202 W. Anklam Road. Parents, children, husbands, wives and partners of the students will pin each with their nursing pin during the certificate presentation. The event concludes with a candle lighting ceremony and recitation of the Nightingale Pledge.
Students completing the program are eligible to take the NCLEX-PN® exam to become a licensed practical nurse. The annual median wage for LPNs is $50,181.
