The Arizona Cyber Warfare Range is a “live fire,” volunteer-driven cyber range—a free and open environment created to augment the current cyber security resources in Arizona and to drive innovation in cybersecurity techniques, technologies, and training across the United States. The range provides training, tools, and expertise where students and the community will develop skills that will strengthen the stability, security, and performance of our digital infrastructure. Business, government, military, and law enforcement will all gain practiced, capable cyber warriors that will have the ability to defend our nation.
PCC will provide the facility, and the Arizona Cyber Warfare Range, a 501c3 non-profit, will provide the equipment and volunteers. The Cyber Warfare Range will be part of PCC’s Information Technology Center of Excellence, which will be a home for cyber academics and the community to collaborate.
The College will also introduce its new Cybersecurity Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree intended for direct employment. It will complement PCC’s existing AAS programs in programming, networking, and “2+2” transfer programs into the University of Arizona’s United States National Security Agency-designated programs.
This degree is currently being reviewed for authorization by PCC's accrediting body, the Higher Learning Commission, and will be reviewed by the U.S. Dept. of Education for financial aid certification.
During the Open House, tours will also be provided of other programs at PCC’s East Campus, including the new Makerspace, Fire Science Academy, Crime Scene Lab, and Veterinary Technology Program.
