March 18, 2019

Tucson, AZ – Pima Community College Small Business Development Center (SBDC) will join other regional centers across the state and nation in celebrating SBDC Day, an annual event celebrating the impact SBDCs collectively have on the small business community.

Accordingly, Mayor Jonathan Rothschild proclaimed March 20 as SBDC Day in Tucson.

At 10 a.m., Mayor Rothschild will give a special presentation on Facebook Live. He will recognize PCC’s SBDC for helping Arizona become a nationwide leader in job creation and small business growth. Inspiring stories from small business owners also will be shared.

The Arizona SBDC Network is Arizona’s largest and most accessible source of assistance for small businesses. In 2017, the Arizona network of SBDCs helped companies create or retain 1,474 jobs, increase $91 million in sales and start 303 new businesses.

PCC’s SBDC provides small businesses and entrepreneurs with the resources needed to succeed. Services range from answering startup and business structure questions to assisting with business plans, marketing plans and loan information.
