Tucson, AZ – Therapy cat Jack will join therapy dogs at West Campus during Pima’s finals week Study “Paws” de-stress event.
What: Study “Paws” therapy animals visits
When: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., May 14 and 15
Where: Library Foyer, third floor (May 14); outside Learning Center, C 217 (May 15), Santa Catalina Building, West Campus, 2202 W. Anklam Road
Info: 520-206-6821
Jack will join therapy dogs in the Library Foyer on May 14 only.
“So far, we've only had dogs visiting, so a therapy cat visit is an exciting development,” said Rosanne Couston, a West Campus librarian, who organizes the visits.
West Campus Library organizes Study “Paws” every fall and spring semester finals week to allow students and staff a break from studying or between exams. The therapy animals and their handlers are provided by two groups, Humane Society of Southern Arizona’s Pet VIP Therapy and Visitation Program and Pet Partners of Southern Arizona.
This spring, most of the College’s traditional semester classes have final exams May 13 through May 17, which is the last day of the semester. The 2019 Graduation Ceremony is May 23.
