19 U.S. Air Force Personnel Complete PCC’s Paramedic Program

Tucson, AZ – Pima Community College’s Public Safety and Emergency Services Institute (PSESI) will honor 19 airmen who completed the Paramedic Program. The ceremony will be held on June 7, at 11 a.m., in the Aurora Auditorium at the 29th Street Coalition Center, 4355 E. Calle Aurora.

Pima Community College, for the second time in a row, was awarded a five-year contract to train paramedics from the U.S. Air Force Medical Operations Agency. Through this one-of-a-kind partnership, Pima has trained more than 200 airmen since August 2014, when the first contract started. The new contract runs through September 2024.

Airmen who complete Pima’s program have been assigned to bases around the U.S. and overseas. Graduates have even been lifesavers, including one who was recognized for saving a baby.
