Honors students help bring Christmas cheer to veterans

Tucson, AZ – Pima honor students will volunteer at the Southern Arizona VA Medical Systems this holiday season.
Dec. 23: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., honors students assemble stockings for veterans who will be in the VA Hospital over Christmas Eve and Christmas.
Dec. 24: 9 a.m. to noon, honors students deliver stocking to veterans who are in the VA Hospital
Jan. 2: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., honors students help take down holiday decorations at the VA Hospital
Also during the holidays, honors students are doing other volunteer activities, including helping Light the Night with setup, staffing and takedown of its booth during festivities Dec. 30 and 31 related to the NOVA Home Loans Arizona Bowl, weeding at Himmel Park (Dec. 28) and walking dogs at Pima Animal Care Center (Dec. 29).
