News Release
Tucson, AZ – Following recent decisions by the U.S. Supreme Court and the White House affecting Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), Pima Community College has organized a Zoom forum for anyone interested in learning more.
It will be held from 4:45 to 6:15 p.m. Monday, Aug. 24. Spanish translation will be available. The forum is open to anyone but will be focused on student needs.
Details, including the Zoom link and agenda, as well as the ability to submit questions in advance, are available in an announcement on the PCC website.
The forum program will review DACA updates and federal policy revisions, and provide resources for individuals and families. It will include speakers from DACA advocates Aliento and Scholarships A-Z. It will conclude with a student panel and opportunities for Q&A.
“DACA students have been a vibrant part of the Pima Community College,” Provost Dolores Durán-Cerda said. “Our wish is to continue to welcome and support this community of learners and to provide them and their families with access to information and opportunities to continue their education.”
