Crazy About Street Rods and Classic Cars?
Pima hosting the Tucson Street Rod Association Annual Rodders Day Car Show, April 23 at Downtown Campu
For one Saturday every April, Pima’s Downtown Campus is host to one of the best car shows around. It’s free, fun for all ages and a great way to spend a day.
On April 23, the Tucson Street Rod Association (TSRA) will hold its annual Rodders Days Car Show from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
There will be hand-built street rods, custom and classic cars, some worth up to $100,000; antique engines, tractors and mining equipment; vintage campers; food vendors, and more.
In addition, Dean of Applied Technology Greg Wilson will be on hand to tell you about Pima’s hands-on programs and provide tours of the College’s new Automotive Technology and Innovation Center, part of the Center of Excellence in Applied Technology.

“The Tucson Street Rod Association and its sponsors are strong supporters of Pima, our Applied Technology programs and our students,” Wilson said. “We have a lot of fun hosting the Rodders Days car show each year because it is a great community event. Visitors not only get to see fantastic cars but they get to tour our facilities and become more familiar with Pima’s programs.”
TSRA held the first car show nearly five decades ago at Reid Park, then for many years on Fourth Avenue, and for a couple of years each at Casino Del Sol and the University of Arizona. TSRA relocated the show to Pima in 2018.
“Our club members and sponsors really believe in our mission of supporting Pima’s Applied Technology programs and producing more graduates in the hands-on trades,” said Gary Scheer, vice president of TSRA.
TSRA has donated $30,000 from its sponsors to Pima Foundation for scholarships since 2018, including $4,750 in 2020 when it couldn’t be held because of the pandemic and the major sponsors chose to donate their sponsorship fees to Pima rather than get a refund.
