Pima Community College Governing Board Sets Tuition for 2024-25 Academic Year
Tucson, AZ - The Pima County Community College District Governing Board has approved a $3.00 per-credit-hour tuition increase for the 2024-25 academic year. Including per-credit-hour service fees, which will now be incorporated into tuition, PCC’s tuition for in-state residents will be $100.50 per credit hour. Consolidating the charges into one tuition rate will make the costs of attendance clearer and more transparent to students.
The yearly tuition cost for a full-time student taking 30 credit hours will be $3,015 beginning this fall, which is still a fraction of the cost of attending a public or private four-year university. The tuition increase will be covered for students receiving full federal Pell grants.
The increased revenue will provide support for the College’s programs and services and allow the College to give pay raises to employees. The budget plan also includes the gradual reduction of its workforce through employee attrition to better align the College’s costs with its enrollment.
PCC continues to be recognized for financial stewardship through reaffirmation of its Aa2 issuer rating by Moody's Investors Service and has been awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada for 29 consecutive years.
The new tuition rates will take effect for students registering for Fall classes, which begin August 26, 2024:
- In-State Resident: $100.50
- Non-Resident Classroom: Fall/Spring: $322.00
- Non-Resident Classroom: Summer $251.00
- Non-Resident Online: $232.00
The Processing Fee will remain at $15.00 per semester. More information on the College’s budget can be found here.
