Pima Theater Presents Original Play "Wandless: Power Beyond Spells,” Nov. 21

Tucson, AZ – Pima Community College’s Theater department is thrilled to announce the debut of "Wandless: Power Beyond Spells," an original production written by Pima Theater students and directed by accomplished scenic designer, director, actor and Pima Theater alum Samantha Cormier. The play runs at Pima’s Black Box Theatre from November 21–24, 2024.

"Wandless: Power Beyond Spells" transports audiences to a summer camp where a group of campers discover they possess unexpected abilities. However, their new powers attract the attention of a sinister enchantress, Cordelia, who plots to steal their magic for herself. The campers must band together, balancing bravery, humor, and trust to defeat her and protect their future.

The production reflects the collaborative creativity of Pima Theater’s student writers and offers an exploration of courage, friendship, and personal growth. With thrilling twists, witty dialogue, and emotional moments, "Wandless" delivers an unforgettable theatrical experience.

Samantha Cormier, a Pima Theater graduate and alumna of the University of Arizona’s School of Theatre, Film & Television (BFA, ’07) earned her MFA in 2015 from the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD). With a dynamic background in directing, acting, and scenic design, Cormier is a prominent figure in Tucson’s theater community. Her work on Wandless reflects her
