Pima Community College Earns National Financial Reporting Honor for 34th Consecutive Year
Tucson, AZ – For the 34th consecutive year, Pima Community College has received the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting, the highest honor awarded in governmental accounting and financial reporting. The recognition was presented by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) for the College's Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR) for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2025.
The Certificate of Achievement recognizes governments and public institutions that demonstrate exceptional transparency and accountability in financial reporting. An independent panel determined that PCC's report met the program's rigorous standards for clearly communicating the College's financial position while demonstrating a constructive "spirit of full disclosure."
“Pima Community College is dedicated to providing transparent and useful financial information,” said Dr. David Bea, Executive Vice Chancellor for Finance and Administration. “This award from the GFOA demonstrates those continued efforts.”
The Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in governmental accounting and financial reporting. Earning the distinction for 34 consecutive years underscores the College's long-standing commitment to financial excellence and transparency.
The Government Finance Officers Association advances excellence in government finance by providing best practices, professional development, resources and practical research to more than 25,000 members throughout the United States and Canada.
