Fire Science Academy Track

Certificate

Pima’s Fire Academy can provide you with the key to an exciting career in fire service. 

The Certificate program follows the training curricula set by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Standard 1001 and is approved by the Arizona Center for Fire Service Excellence (ACFSE). In this program, you will learn the essential skills needed to work in the fire industry. 

This program meets Arizona certification requirements for Firefighter I and II, Hazardous Materials First Responder, and Wildland Firefighter.  

This certificate program follows the National Fire Protection Association’s curriculum. The curriculum is approved by the Arizona Center for Fire Service Excellence.

Conditional Enrollment Program: You will be eligible to enroll in FSC courses once you have completed the requirements listed in Program Admission and the Department has authorized your enrollment. See the program director or advisor for more information.
