Chancellor's Biography

Dr. Jeffrey P. Nasse has served as Chancellor of Pima Community College since August 2024.

Upon his arrival, Dr. Nasse launched a 100-day “Listening, Learning, Leading” tour, connecting with Pima’s diverse internal and external stakeholders, including students, faculty, staff, and the broader Pima County community. Over the course of this initiative, he attended 113 events and engaged with more than 3,000 individuals, gaining valuable insights to guide the College’s vision and priorities.

With more than 20 years of experience in collegiate teaching and administration, Dr. Nasse brings a wealth of expertise to Pima. Prior to his current role, he served as Provost and Senior Vice President of Academic Affairs and College Operations at Broward College in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where he led strategic initiatives that advanced institutional excellence.

Dr. Nasse’s community college journey began in the classroom as an Associate Professor of English. His leadership experience extends across multiple areas of higher education, including academic affairs, online learning, facilities, information technology, student support services, and libraries. He has also taught as an adjunct faculty member at Florida Atlantic University, Central Maine Community College, and East Carolina University.

Renowned for his ability to build high-performing teams, Dr. Nasse has driven measurable improvements in student success. His leadership has yielded significant gains, including enhanced outcomes in Computer Science, Health Science, and Education programs, the successful launch of community college baccalaureate degrees, increased graduation rates, and the expansion of innovative learning modalities such as accelerated online and flexible course formats.

Dr. Nasse’s academic journey reflects his dedication to lifelong learning and service. After earning an honorable discharge from the United States Marine Corps, he attended East Carolina University, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Communication and a Master of Arts in English. He later earned a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Research Methodology from Florida Atlantic University.
