Chancellor's Biography

Dr. Jeffrey P. Nasse has served as Chancellor of Pima Community College since August 2024.

In this time, he has sharpened the College's focus on student outcomes, leading with a philosophy grounded in collaboration, accountability, and community partnership. Under his leadership, Pima has strengthened its role as the community's college by advancing educational opportunity, workforce development, and transfer, delivering the outcomes that matter most to students.

Early in his tenure, Dr. Nasse launched a 100-day "Listening, Learning, Leading" tour, engaging more than 3,000 students, employees, and community members to help shape the College's strategic direction. Building on that foundation, he worked with faculty and staff to define shared governance, established ongoing listening and learning sessions, and formed the College Leadership Council to bring faculty and staff leaders directly into institutional decision-making. He has also prioritized inviting the community onto Pima's campuses through open houses and expanded engagement, contributing to growth in annual enrollment. Fiscal discipline has strengthened as well through significant reductions in recurring expenses and a new weekly Institutional Scorecard for data-driven accountability. Dr. Nasse also led the development of Destination 2040: Roadmap for Resilience, the College's new strategic plan, and has strengthened institutional emergency preparedness. Under his leadership, the College is expanding Public Safety and Cybersecurity programs, integrating artificial intelligence across programs and operations, launching its first bachelor's degree in Education, and developing a long-term capital investment strategy to modernize campus facilities.

Before joining Pima, Dr. Nasse spent two decades at Broward College in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, most recently serving as Provost and Senior Vice President of Academic Affairs and College Operations, along with numerous other academic leadership roles. A veteran of the United States Marine Corps, he brings more than 20 years of higher education leadership experience, building high-performing teams, expanding innovative learning opportunities, launching community college baccalaureate degrees, and achieving measurable improvements in student success and graduation outcomes. Dr. Nasse holds a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership from Florida Atlantic University and bachelor's and master's degrees from East Carolina University.
