Integrated Planning
At Pima Community College, integrated planning is a coordinated and collaborative process that brings together subject matter experts from across the institution - including academics, facilities, student services, enrollment, and information technology - to identify and advance the College’s most important priorities. Integrated planning also plays a central role in guiding resource allocation, with budgeting decisions directly informed by strategic priorities.
College Strategic Plan
In late spring 2026, the PCC Governing Board approved PCC's strategic priorities for 2026-2030, new overarching principles and strategic targets for 2029-2030.
The strategic priorities for 2026-2030 are:
- Create Clear, Structured Pathways to Completion: Ensure students have well-designed guided pathways that enable timely completion and successful transfer.
- Advance Integrated Student Support: Ensure a high-quality, integrated experience throughout the student journey, providing clear, proactive guidance and support.
- Expand Career-Connected Learning: Provide students with opportunities for career exposure through applied learning experiences, internships, work-based learning, and employer partnerships.
- Improve Access to Essential Resources: Address barriers to student success by strengthening access to external resources, including food, housing, childcare, and other supports, through expanded partnerships.
The overarching principles provide the foundation for how the College will implement its strategic priorities, ensuring decisions remain aligned with our values, responsibilities, and commitment to students and the community. They are:
- We prioritize student access, progress, and outcomes in all planning and decision-making.
- We believe every learner - across credit, noncredit, workforce, transfer - deserves opportunity and support.
- We remain responsive to community needs by building strong relationships and aligning our work with the evolving priorities of our local community.
- We strengthen institutional effectiveness through efficient processes, skilled employees, and the thoughtful use of technology, including artificial intelligence.
- We steward resources responsibly to ensure long-term fiscal health and institutional resilience.
- We believe long-term success depends on operational and environmental sustainability, so we prioritize decisions and actions that support responsible operations, environmental stewardship, and sustainable institutional practices.
- When policies, regulations, or external conditions change, we adapt strategically to remain responsive and effective.
- We promote safety and well-being as essential foundations for student and employee success.
