FAQ Resource for Employees on Federal Immigration and Budget Policy Changes
Dear Colleagues,
To support clear and timely communication regarding federal immigration and budget policy changes, we have introduced a new FAQ resource for College employees. This resource is designed to address common questions, provide guidance, and offer contact information for further support.
You can access the FAQ under MyPima > Important Information > Executive Orders and Related Items. It will be updated regularly as new information becomes available, and additional related resources will also be linked in this section.
Key Topics in the FAQ:
- Executive orders and federal compliance
- Guidance for faculty and staff on law enforcement inquiries
- Supporting students in distress and fostering a safe, inclusive environment
- Federal financial aid and budgetary impacts
- Academic freedom, First Amendment rights, and curriculum considerations
- Employee and student rights, privacy protections, and available resources
If you have a question that is not currently addressed in the FAQ, please reach out to your campus vice president, site administrator, or contact Brian Stewart, Chief Cultural Impact Officer, at bstewart@pima.edu. Additionally, I encourage you to watch my remarks on recent federal changes from last week's Governing Board meeting at this link.
We appreciate your commitment to staying informed and supporting our students and community. Thank you for your dedication to fostering a welcoming and supportive environment for all.
Best regards,Jeffrey P. Nasse, Ph. D.
