Downtown Campus
Located in the heart of the city, Pima Community College’s Downtown Campus is home to several business and industry programs, general education courses and a full range of support services. Some of those services the campus offers include an Immigrant and Refugee Student Center, a Veteran's Service Center with a quiet space, I-Best courses, library, advising, and tutoring. This makes both the community and learners at Downtown Campus a diverse and vibrant population.
Downtown Campus is known for its community ties and involvement. The campus is one of the Thrive in the 05 Program partners, which is a City of Tucson Initiative working toward the development and sustainability of the 85705 area in Tucson. The campus is also home to the Advanced Manufacturing Business Incubator and Flexible Industry Training (FIT) Lab, which are an innovative part of our Workforce Development Division.
Innovation Centers
The campus is home to Automotive Technology, and Advanced Manufacturing allowing students access to high quality training and exposure in their field.
The Automotive Technology and Innovation Center is a high-tech facility that offers a guided and flexible self-paced learning experience for all members of the public interested in learning the skills needed to enter and succeed in the automotive repair industry. It houses the general automotive repair and Ford ASSET OEM training programs, both of which are built with industry stakeholder guidance to equip students with the latest skills, knowledge, and certifications needed to acquire gainful employment in the industry and flourish in their careers.
The Advanced Manufacturing center is a high-tech training facility working in partnership with business and industry. The center currently includes Robotics, Welding, Machining, Building Construction, Optics, Computer Aided Drafting and Design, and many other certificates and credentials across the Applied Technology spectrum. It is also home of the Business Incubator and FIT Lab.
The campus is nestled within the local neighborhood, and is surrounded by parks, local businesses, and residential homes. It is frequented by those in the surrounding areas as a space to walk, bike, and participate in campus events and services.
