Davis-Monthan Air Force Base Education Center
Pima Community College offers a range of classes on the Davis-Monthan Air Force Base leading to degree and transfer programs.
The center serves both active-duty military personnel and the public. Students receive the same services that are available on Pima’s campuses, including assessment exams, financial aid services, and admissions and registration advising.
CLEP and DSST testing is offered at this site for active duty and DoD contractors at no charge. Non-military affiliated PCC students may also take the CLEP exam at the DMAFB test center for a fee and if they have base access. We also proctor licensure and certification exams through Pearson Vue.
The College partners with the Community College of the Air Force through the General Education Mobile (GEM) program to offer general education courses that meet CCAF degree requirements.
- Apply for TA via AFVEC portal https://afvec.us.af.mil
- Apply for TA up to 45 days prior (60 days for Army), no later than 7 days prior to the course start date. Recommendation to submit 30 days prior to the start of class to clear any barriers.
- Once TA is approved; send a copy of the approved TA voucher to DMEC@pima.edu

All non-military affiliated Pima students are welcome to attend classes at Davis-Monthan. Pima students attending classes at Davis-Monthan AFB must show:
- Picture Identification: (driver’s license, State ID, or passport)
- Proof of U.S. Citizenship: official copy of U.S. birth certificate
- Pima Class Schedule printed from the MyPima Academics tab, My Schedule section
- Department of the Air Force signed copy of Memorandum for all Davis Monthan AFB Students
Students driving vehicles onto the Base must show driver's license, proof of auto insurance, and vehicle registration.
Passes for entry to the Base can be obtained at the Visitor's Center at the Craycroft/Golf Links Gate daily between Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.
Students may obtain Base passes beginning one week before the start of class.
To meet Homeland Security regulations, the government will conduct any background checks it deems appropriate to maintain law and order and ensure the security of the personnel and property on the installation.
All Pima Community College students enrolled in any course offered at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base must undergo a criminal background check to gain permission to enter the Base.
As required by DMAFB Security Personnel, Pima Community College will provide the name, Social Security number and date of birth of any Pima student enrolled in or ceasing enrollment in classes taught on DMAFB.

- Register for the test desired
- During test registration, make sure “Eligible for DANTES?” answer is YES
- Select “Testing center”, not remote site.
- While serving active duty, first attempt at each test is completely covered by DANTES funding
- Receive your registration ticket #

- You must include: Name of the test, Ticket Registration Number, Time/Day you would like to take the test and a good phone number to reach you.

NOTE: Admission as a Pima student is NOT required to take part in CLEP/DSST/Pearson Vue Testing

- For issues with Pearson VUE registration; you must contact Pearson VUE directly
NOTE: Admission as a Pima student is NOT required to take part in CLEP/DSST/Pearson Vue Testing.
- TA must be approved through members' command:
- Apply for TA through your branch of service portal 45 days prior to the start of the term. Cutoff for submission is 7 days prior to the start of term:

- Provide all official transcripts from previously attended institutions of higher education, CLEP, DSST and CCAF or JST transcripts.
- Meet with an PCC advisor at DMAFB for degree advising and to obtain an evaluated degree plan
- Submit approved tuition assistance forms either at the Davis-Monthan office or send it to dmec@pima.edu

- Max Tuition Benefit of $4,000.00 with annual fiscal cap of $2,000.00
- Covers tuition including differential tuition at Pima. Will NOT cover fees, books, etc.
- Will not cover General Studies/ Liberal Arts degrees and preparatory courses.
