In this focused, career-driven program learn how to check, build and fix the metal and composite parts that make up an aircraft’s body. You’ll also get a strong introduction to the basics of how airplanes work and what it takes to keep them running safely — pulling key lessons from our Aircraft General Mechanics and Aircraft Airframe and Powerplant Mechanics certificate courses.

From the start, you’ll roll up your sleeves and work with real tools in real-world settings, learning by doing. By the end of the program, you’ll have the knowledge and skills to handle major repairs and detailed structural work — going above and beyond the FAA’s minimum requirements for FAR Part 147 Airframe and Powerplant training.

"This Pima College aviation structures class taught by Lou Vasquez has meant a lot to me. It’s pushed me to be the best version of myself and challenged me to grow every day. I can tell Lou genuinely wants me to succeed and turn into a great mechanic, and that kind of support and guidance has made a huge difference in how I learn and approach this career."
