Pima Community College offers child care options for student parents. Learn about our pre-school and toddler programs.
Desert Vista Early Learning Center and Early Head Start Program
The Desert Vista (DV) Early Learning Center and Early Head Start is made possible through a collaboration with community partners Child Parent Centers, Inc., Pima County PEEPS program, and United Way of Southern Arizona.
DV Early Learning Center is a preschool classroom for ages 3-5 years old
- Children must be fully potty trained
- To qualify for the program students must be enrolled at PCC, and meet the income criteria determined by the PEEPS program
DV Early Head Start Program is a toddler program for children ages 1-2 years old
- Children must be walking independently to start in the program
- To qualify for the program students must be enrolled at PCC, be on SNAP or meet income criteria determined by Head Start
Please note:
- All child care slots are only for PCC students who must be enrolled to use child care services, maintain a 2.0 GPA, be the legal, physical, custodial parent of the child using the program (provide a birth certificate).
- All child care slots are full time, and a parent must commit to bringing their child daily for at least six hours
- Both programs are open M-F 7:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m.
- Both programs are open during the summer for students taking summer classes
- Breakfast, lunch, and snacks are provided
