Awards and Recognitions

The Pima Community College celebrates and acknowledges community and College work that embodies our Organizational Culture. Some of these recognitions occur through the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarship, through College departments (for example Phi Theta Kappa, Military and Veteran Services, and Athletics), or through the C3 Office.

The C3 Office awards are given annually to individuals, organizations and departments that have demonstrated exemplary leadership, vision or service that brings us closer to creating a more respectful, kind, and connected community, beyond their normal scope of work. We recognize these individuals and groups in five areas:

  • The Leadership Award is presented to those who have demonstrated leadership in developing initiatives that have enhanced and furthered the College’s organizational culture and/or strategic plan goals and outcomes.
  • The Service Award is presented to those who have participated in or initiated respect, connection, or access related work in areas including committees, community involvement and/or community outreach.
  • The Education Award is presented to those who have offered teaching, programming or activities designed to foster or close educational gaps and promote educational engagement and excellence.
  • The Community Award is presented to community organizations or community members that support the College’s organizational culture and behaviors.
  • The Student Award is presented to a student or group of students that model and exemplify the principles of care, kindness, and excellence outside of the classroom or other required responsibility.

Students, employees, and departments within the College as well as community members and organizations in Pima County are eligible to apply. Previous recipients are eligible for nomination every five years.
