Financial Indicators and Metrics

The Financial Indicators and Metrics for Fiscal Years 2016-2025 evaluate the College's fiscal health, monitor stewardship and trends, and provide comparisons to other Arizona community colleges and universities.

Financial Ratios

Financial data provided to the College's accreditor, the Higher Learning Commission, is used to generate ratios and benchmarks, including the Composite Financial Index, as shown in the PCC Financial Ratios for Fiscal Years 2016-2025.

For the 34th consecutive year, Pima Community College has received the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA). Awarded for the College's Annual Comprehensive Financial Report for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2025, this distinction represents the highest honor in governmental accounting and financial reporting. An independent panel determined that PCC met the program's rigorous standards, highlighting the institution's long-standing commitment to financial transparency, accountability, and full public disclosure.

Arizona General Accounting Office

The Arizona Department of Administration (ADOA) General Accounting Office (GAO) is responsible for establishing Statewide accounting policies and procedures, managing the Arizona Financial Information System (AFIS), administering the Statewide Payroll through the Human Resources Information Solution (HRIS), preparing the Statewide Financial Reports, and providing technical assistance and other management advisory services.

Arizona's OpenBooks Portal

The State of Arizona's official transparency web site is Arizona's OpenBooks portal, which was created in accordance with Arizona Revised Statutes Section 41-725. It is a searchable, user-friendly public site that serves as a single point of reference for citizens to view information about the financial activities of the State of Arizona. This site also contains information for certain State of Arizona local governments, including: counties, cities, towns, community college districts, school districts, and state universities.
