Student & Employee Expectations
Purpose and Scope
The Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships (OFAS) values integrity, ethical reasoning, and community responsibility. These Expectations aim to establish mutual respect, encourage civil discourse, and create an environment conducive to establishing a caring culture. Furthermore, the Expectations outline the procedure OFAS follows for addressing misconduct and coincides with Pima Community College’s Student Code of Conduct. These expectations are for students and employees but also apply to persons accompanying or acting on behalf of the student.
The OFAS reserves the right to terminate a session or refuse service when staff deemed necessary.
Expectations
- Foster a productive and safe environment
- Be courteous, respectful, and professional with each interaction
- Be prepared and provide accurate information to the best of your ability
- Be honest and accept responsibility and consequences for prior conduct
- Do not behave in a way that intentionally or recklessly endangers, threatens, or causes physical or emotional harm to any person
- This includes yelling or screaming, using foul language, spitting, pounding on the desk, etc.
- Treat campus and personal property with respect
- Do not disrupt other people of normal services
- Follow federal, state, or local laws
