Student Engagement Surveys

Information and Resources

The Center for Community College Student Engagement has designed several surveys that address different aspects of engagement. Pima Community College has participated in three surveys.

If you would like the detailed reports below, please email research@pima.edu.

Survey of Entering Student Engagement (SENSE)

The Survey of Entering Student Engagement (SENSE) helps community colleges discover why some entering students persist and succeed and others do not. SENSE asks students to reflect on their earliest experiences (academic and services-related) with the college.

  • All Entering Students:                             Benchmarks | Means | Frequencies
  • Part-Time & Full-Time Entering Students:  Benchmarks | Means | Frequencies

Community College Survey of Student Engagement (CCSSE)

CCSSE is an assessment tool that asks questions to assess institutional practices and student behaviors that are correlated highly with student learning and student retention.

  • All Students:  Benchmarks | Means |  Frequencies
  • Part-Time & Full-Time Students:  Benchmarks | Means | Frequencies

Community College Faculty Survey of Student Engagement (CCFSSE)

The Community College Faculty Survey of Student Engagement (CCFSSE) elicits information from faculty about their teaching practices, the ways they spend their professional time, and their perceptions of students' educational experiences.

CCFSSE reports enable participating institutions to view faculty perceptions of student engagement alongside student responses.
